My site 'Allunique' is mainly aimed at sharing my crafts, and my enthusiasm for crafts, with everybody.

'Allunique' reflects the fact that what I make are 'one off ' items ( unless I am asked for duplicates).

I became involved with crafts at a very young age.

I'm self taught in most of my crafts. It started with fabric and yarns, paper and card, followed by working with clay, wax, wood and silver, and more recently beadwork.

As a Textiles Technology Teacher I have had the privileged to pass on my knowledge and work with students of all ages (secondary education to adults). As a result I have seen very creative work produced to a high standard.

I get inspired by other artists, images in books and magazines, nature and materials (fabrics, threads, etc), and students.

At the moment I teach beaded jewellery in Leeds.
